About The Position

Client First Technologies is seeking a Project Management Journeyman to support a Government customer. This role provides project planning, governance, and operational support. The Project Management Journeyman is responsible for maintaining Agile project management artifacts, supporting governance bodies, and coordinating cross-functional project activities to ensure timely, high-quality delivery aligned with the customer's needs. This is a full-time position located in Camp Springs, MD, with the possibility of telework as authorized. The position is contingent upon contract award.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management, including experience supporting federal government programs.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
  • Experience applying Agile methodologies, including sprint planning, retrospective facilitation, and backlog management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain governance artifacts in a federal contracting environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities across multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Familiarity with federal program reporting requirements and project governance practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting programs within DHS or a related federal agency preferred.
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate enterprise-wide collaboration, ensuring consistent communication and coordination across program activities.
  • Maintain Agile project management artifacts, including sprint plans, retrospectives, and risk management logs, with version control.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining governance artifacts such as RACI charts, project charters, and gate reviews to ensure consistent oversight and accountability.
  • Support governance bodies with regular performance reviews, transparent reporting, and data-backed recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Develop structured readiness plans with clear objectives, timelines, and success metrics prior to major system implementations.
  • Coordinate alpha and beta testing cycles with documented feedback loops, ensuring effective issue resolution.
  • Support reporting of project and product implementation by working with Project Managers and Product Owners to provide recurring reporting, including creating repeatable and usable artifacts that reflect program needs.
  • Support risk management, post-deployment evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Apply Agile methodology and Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) to business processes in support of product delivery and stakeholder coordination.
  • Implement knowledge management tools to capture lessons learned and best practices, ensuring continuous improvement across the program.
