Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) is seeking a Project Management Group Leader to lead a team of project management engineers. This role involves supporting high-impact technical projects that address national security challenges, focusing on milestone-driven, high-risk, high-reward projects in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. The group will collaborate with Principal Investigators and technical experts to deliver results on aggressive timelines within complex scientific and engineering landscapes. The position contributes to a growing portfolio of national security-related R&D initiatives in areas such as bioengineering, advanced materials and manufacturing, devices and microsystems, and inertial fusion energy. The role emphasizes initiative, autonomy, and leadership in both planning and execution, driving large-scale strategic projects aligned with the Lab’s mission. This position is part of the Advanced Manufacturing and Materials Processing (AMMP) section within the Materials Engineering Division (MED) of the Engineering Directorate. The position offers a hybrid schedule, allowing for one or more remote workdays per week. The role can be filled at either a TSL.3 or TSL.4 level, depending on the candidate's knowledge and experience, with additional responsibilities assigned at the higher level.
