The Project Management Analyst II participates as part of the clinical information system team and performs duties associated with the management of projects for all aspects of the various information systems. Actively participates in the entire project life cycle or selected components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Understanding of hospital workflow and operational processes within a department or interdepartmentally.
  • Advanced working knowledge of clinical information systems.
  • Three to five years information services, healthcare, or project management experience.
  • Ability to work with end users to determine software specifications, hardware requirements and process improvement workflows.
  • Comfortable and confident interacting with hospital and corporate personnel at all levels.
  • Advanced computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • PMP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as liaison between clinicians, facility, and corporate departments as appropriate.
  • Serves as project manager or backup for assigned projects: runs meetings, manages agendas/minutes, tracks tasks, issues, and action items, escalates risks and issues as necessary, and drives projects to completion.
  • Adheres to appropriate UHS Project Management standards.
  • Documents project progress using UHS selected project management toolsets.
  • Ensures strict adherence to work plans, reporting all serious deviations to management.
  • Gathers data required for assigned projects.
  • Provides assistance with event planning and management for large projects.
  • Travels to facilities as needed in support of project management responsibilities – some night and/or weekend coverage may be requested.
  • Provides technical support and guidance to end users and other team members as required.
  • Provides administrative support of project management application (Brightwork).
  • Researches and resolves implementation-related Customer Support Center Tickets.
  • Provides on call after hours support as needed.
  • Participates in project management training for team members.
  • Maintains Service Excellence principles.
  • Keeps management well informed of activities, needs, problems.
