About The Position

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 1 years of relevant professional experience
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
US Citizenship Required for this Position: Yes
STRONG written communication skills inclusive of recommendation and/or proposal development
STRONG customer interface skills - must able to be trusted to represent our team for SD with the suppliers and NAVSEA
STRONG project management skills - must understand development of a plan (in writing) and then moving forward with execution and tracking of that plan.

Nice To Haves

Support planning and execution of various supplier development projects at NNS in support of Supply Chain Procurement and Outsourcing for all Programs.
In addition to working directly with supplier personnel, the successful candidate will collaborate with buyers, engineers, quality, and program personnel to effect improvement in material availability and cost for NNS.
Production/capacity planning experience, data extraction and analysis skills are extremely valuable.
Lean, Six Sigma, procurement, planning, engineering, manufacturing, quality, business development, project management, data extraction and analysis experience/skills are extremely valuable.
