About The Position

The NRC is looking for a Project Management Advisor to support its Aerospace Research Centre. This role involves providing strategic advice and hands-on project management support to program managers and project leaders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and successfully, meeting timelines, budgets, stakeholder expectations, and organizational goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science or Business Administration or Finance.
  • Significant and recent experience leading and enabling the successful delivery of projects across diverse domains, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Proven experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing complex, multi-stakeholder environments, including internal clients, external partners, and industry collaborators.
  • Significant and recent experience in project financial management, including cost estimation, budget development, forecasting, and variance analysis throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated experience proactively identifying, assessing, and managing project risks, issues, and interdependencies, and implementing effective mitigation and contingency strategies.
  • Recent experience using project management tools and systems to plan, track, analyze, and report on project performance in complex environments.
  • Experience providing strategic project management advice and guidance to senior leaders and project sponsors to support informed decision-making and optimize project outcomes.
  • Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB language proficiency.
  • Reliability Status (requires background verification over 5 years).

Nice To Haves

  • Graduation in business administration or finance or a program specializing in project management.
  • Formal designation as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI).

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice and technical support to implement and maintain efficient project management practices.
  • Develop and monitor project budgets, schedules, milestones, and resource allocations.
  • Analyze project plans, costs, and timelines; prepare progress reports and performance analyses.
  • Support Lab Directors and Sponsors in achieving business goals through data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Gather and interpret data from multiple sources to develop integrated business analyses and projections.
  • Facilitate collaboration and partnerships among stakeholders.
  • Contribute to program development, execution, and coordination across the Aerospace Research Centre.
