The Tactical Air Dominance Department (N151) is transforming warfighter operations by accelerating the adoption and fielding of advanced weapons systems capabilities. We accomplish our mission by integrating operational domain knowledge, validated mission threads, and digital engineering to rapidly prototype capabilities and assess tradeoffs in virtual environments through representative modeling, simulation, and experimentation. We strongly value deep technical and operational expertise, a mission-oriented mindset, and a desire to firmly link the acquisition of advanced capabilities to operational warfighters, analysts, and end-users. Our department is seeking an experienced, assertive, highly entrepreneurial, and collaborative Project Leader to shape and execute our Weapons Engineering Enterprise work program with our AFLCMC/EB Armament Directorate sponsor at Eglin AFB, FL. The Armament Directorate is spearheading several Mission Capability Areas that integrate multiple weapon programs in support of critical warfighter requirements. The Mission Capability Area of ‘Long Range Strike’ requires understanding of the long-range kill chain and an advanced systems-of-systems integration approach. The Weapons Engineering Enterprise Project Leader will leverage modern development and acquisition approaches wherever possible accelerate the development and delivery of new weapon capabilities. This position offers challenging opportunities to apply integration, innovation, and analysis skills to directly address some of the Air Force’s highest priority challenges.
