Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of progressive experience in project management within a development, support, or process improvement environment, in information technology.
  • PMP® (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Knowledge of relevant IT applications and tools, as well as related office software (MS Office, SAP, etc.).
  • Strong technical knowledge, as well as familiarity with best practices and tools in project management in IT.
  • Solid experience in budget management and financial controls.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of applicable procedures, rules, standards, and work practices related to task execution.
  • Eligibility for Marine Transportation Security Clearance.
  • Proficient in French, verbally and in writing, and fluent in English, verbally. This requisite is explained by the nature of the position which requires communicating with teams located in Québec and Ontario.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of IT project management, including defining scope, objectives, budget, deliverables, required resources, timelines, and communication strategy.
  • Define methodological frameworks, tracking tools, and performance indicators to monitor progress, conduct testing, and report to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate, assign, and manage resource allocation (human, financial, technological) based on organizational priorities and project constraints.
  • Act as a key resource by providing strategic and technical guidance, coaching, and analytical support to the IT project team.
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions with consultants, clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Plan and execute the transition of projects to operations teams, including documentation, training, and post-deployment follow-up.
