In this high-visibility role, you will own the execution of critical mechanical-system hardware at the part level, including components such as bearings, seals, gears, bearing compartments, and pumps. You will serve as the part-level technical owner, leading Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) planning and execution to deliver critical mechanical-system hardware across the product lifecycle. You will work closely with engineering management, program leadership, manufacturing, suppliers, customers, and other cross-functional organizations. This role offers the opportunity to influence technical and business decisions supporting Pratt & Whitney’s Next Generation Product Family (NGPF) engine programs.

  • Experience with Continuous Improvement, LEAN, CORE, ACE, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies; demonstrated ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers; and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Solumina, SAP, Teamcenter, or similar engineering/business systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own part-level execution for assigned mechanical-system hardware, ensuring technical requirements, communication, risk management, performance, quality, cost, and schedule commitments are achieved.
  • Lead and coordinate Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) activities to identify, assess, mitigate, and close critical technical risks and issues, while driving corrective actions to maintain program milestones and objectives.
  • Drive Integrated Product Team (IPT) execution, including budgets, schedules, milestones, key deliverables, and technical and business metrics, ensuring commitments remain on plan.
  • Lead and support technical and program reviews by establishing milestones, validating technical content, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and communicating status, risks, and recommendations.
  • Serve as a key technical interface with customers, System Integrated Product Teams (SIPTs), Integrated Program Management Teams (IPMTs), senior leadership, and suppliers, collaborating across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to resolve complex technical and business challenges.
