About The Position
AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Project Information Specialist to join our Flood Risk Solutions team in Arlington, VA. This is an in-office position. The appropriately qualified applicant will assist in processing FEMA (Conditional) Letter of Map Revision Requests.
Requirements
- BA/BS Degree in Environmental Science or related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Nice To Haves
- Previous internship or relevant experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal Communication skills.
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience coordinating with internal and external team members.
- Knowledge of FEMA’s National Flood Insurance Program and MT-2 post-processing workflow desired but not required.
Responsibilities
- Mailing and archiving of MT-2 final determination letters (102s and 104s) and attachments and, Final Base Flood Elevation letters(116s) to communities.
- Publishing new BFE notices in local newspapers and procuring affidavits.
- Preparing, submitting and coordinating Interim and Final rule dockets for Federal Register publications.
- Any other post processing activity assigned by manager.
