About The Position

Location – Oshawa, ON. Your role: Collaborate with business leaders to identify and prioritize organizational capabilities, behaviors, and structures that support strategic goals. Provide HR leadership, coaching and advice to support the Operational and project leadership teams on all people-related matters. Build strong, credible relationships with internal and external stakeholders, offering expert guidance on all things people related. Provide thoughtful coaching on talent management, performance, recruitment, terminations, compensation, development, and change management. Advise and support managers on performance management. Partner with the Recruitment team and hiring managers to support staffing plans, project assignments, mobilization and demobilization as well as talent redeployment. Champion the rollout of AtkinsRéalis policies and help shape new processes that enhance operational effectiveness. Anticipate business and project needs to deliver HR solutions aligned with the mission, vision, and values. Lead initiatives that boost employee engagement, strengthen culture, and retain top talent. Stay current on employment legislation and ensure compliance with government reporting requirements. Develop and implement strategies that foster open communication and positive working relationships.

Requirements

  • University Degree or completion of a Human Resources Management degree/diploma program from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years hands on HRBP experience
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Proven ability to collaborate, negotiate, facilitate, and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and organizational development.
  • Ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work as the primary HR partner as part of a cross functional management team.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Collaborative team player with demonstrated professional and emotional maturity and judgment to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy, tact, and high ethical standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills.
