About The Position

The Project Geologist plays a critical role in supporting Bunker Hill Mine's exploration, resource development, mine planning, and operational geology activities. This position leads and executes geological programs including drilling, sampling, mapping, resource evaluation, ore control, and technical reporting. Working closely with operations, engineering, environmental, and leadership teams, the Project Geologist ensures geological data is accurately collected and utilized to optimize resource development, support safe mining practices, and contribute to the long-term success of the operation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Earth Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in underground mining, mineral exploration, or resource development.
  • Experience with silver, lead, zinc, or other polymetallic base metal deposits.
  • Strong understanding of structural geology, economic geology, ore deposit modeling, and drilling programs.
  • Proficiency using geological and mine planning software such as Leapfrog, Vulcan, Deswik, Datamine, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with geological database management, data analysis, and technical writing.
  • Working knowledge of MSHA regulations and mining industry safety practices.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute surface and underground exploration programs.
  • Conduct geological mapping, core logging, structural interpretation, and orebody modeling.
  • Manage drilling programs including contractor oversight, planning, sample management, and QA/QC.
  • Collect, validate, interpret, and maintain geological, geochemical, geotechnical, and database information.
  • Support mineral resource estimation, reserve development, and technical reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to optimize mine development and production plans.
  • Monitor ore control activities to maximize recovery and minimize dilution.
  • Support environmental permitting, compliance initiatives, and geological assessments.
  • Coordinate with consultants, laboratories, and contractors while managing project budgets and schedules.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company safety standards and MSHA regulations.
