About The Position

The Project Finance Analyst leads in evaluating, structuring, and monetizing development innovation concepts and utility-scale wind, solar, and other renewable energy project opportunities. This role will require 3 days in office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Engineering is required.
  • Ability to travel 5-15% is required.
  • Robust analytical, evaluation, planning, and Excel modeling skills.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Word and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with energy market dynamics and the ability to stay current with changing technologies and regulations influencing the continued adoption of renewable energy.
  • Basic understanding of renewable energy lending and equity markets.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team to prioritize and complete assignments accurately and within tight deadlines.
  • Functional competencies include accountability, attention to detail, communication, prioritization, and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of equivalent experience in business and accounting is preferred.
  • 1+ years of project finance and energy industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the financial analysis, investment appraisal, economic evaluation, and risk analysis of wind, solar and other utility-scale and emerging renewable projects, investments, technologies, and merger and acquisition opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain financial models for renewable energy projects, including discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis, debt structuring, and return metrics.
  • Assists in-house developer’s screening and modeling potential projects, assists in preparing Power Purchase Agreement bid packages, and evaluates other power off-take alternatives.
  • Advises developers, senior management, lenders, and investors on potential projects and transactions' key drivers, returns, and risks.
  • Assesses debt and equity financing alternatives and leads financial due diligence with team members of other disciplines.
  • Monitor project budgets, financial performance, and key metrics throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assists with business planning preparation and analysis.
  • Builds models to assess development innovation concepts.
  • Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.
  • Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and Company Policies & Procedures.
  • Presents, supports, and leads-by-example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.
  • Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
