About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Project Finance Analyst to join Schroders’ Public Bond Credit Research team on a fixed-term basis (initially one year, with potential for extension). This role will focus on strengthening our analytical capability in the rapidly expanding AI data centre debt market—an area of increasing importance given rising issuance volumes and growing portfolio exposure.
Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in project finance, infrastructure finance, or structured credit
- Strong preference for experience in data centres, digital infrastructure, or adjacent sectors
- Deep understanding of project finance structures and risk drivers versus corporate credit
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex, large-scale financing arrangements
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical findings to investment and client-facing teams
Responsibilities
- Assisting credit analysis of AI data centre debt issuance within public bond portfolios
- Develop a robust framework for assessing project finance risks in digital infrastructure assets
- Evaluate highly leveraged capital structures
- Analyse key risk factors including: Construction and execution risk, Changes in cost of debt and capital structure dynamics, Credit rating methodology shifts, Counterparty / anchor tenant creditworthiness
- Challenge and refine existing assumptions.
- Provide clear, actionable insights to fellow analysts and portfolio managers to support investment decisions and client communication
Benefits
