About The Position

Fessler & Bowman, Inc. is seeking a Project Executive to lead Project Teams in the successful completion of construction projects, from initial hand-off from Estimating through final completion and close-out. This position will coach the Project Management Team in overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, project control and compliance. The Project Executive will be part of our Travel region, with current project locations in Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio and Indiana, and future projects in the Midwest and Southern US. Requirements

  • A Bachelor of Science in Engineering preferred, or equivalent in training and experience.
  • At least ten (10) years of project management experience.
  • Experience with leading or mentoring a team.
  • Creative and results-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency and self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with an adaptable and flexible style in working with all types of individuals.
  • Travel to and from job sites and office locations is required.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage the Project Management team for designated region or service, including mentoring and coaching.
  • Collaborate with Directors of Construction and Field Supervision to plan and execute projects under budget and ahead of schedule.
  • Lead a weekly meeting with Directors of Construction to identify, discuss, and solve issues related to estimating, project management, and field operations.
  • Act as the Fessler & Bowman Inc. spokesperson for elevated project issues, addressing immediate concerns with the Regional Director when necessary for remediation.
  • Ensure a consistent level of performance among the team that meets and exceeds client expectations.
  • Validate production metrics and durations during the project bid phase.
  • Organize and plan for the safe and efficient execution of projects.
  • Develop the project team and hold each member accountable for their assignment.
  • Solve problems by leveraging internal and external knowledge and resources.
  • Work with field operations management to provide solutions to their equipment and staffing needs.
  • Participate in team-based estimating as it relates to key projects.
  • Provide risk management support to the project teams, including early identification and mitigation of project-related risk.
  • Communicate and uphold the Company’s commitment to Integrity and Code of Ethics, and ensure the same for the entire team.
  • Perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
