About The Position

ProSidian seeks a Project Engineering Manager A | Engineering (Eng) for Program Support on an Exempt Basis for Working On-Site (Client Site) in The Southeast | South Atlantic | CONUS Area (Aiken, South Carolina). This is a Contract Contingent role, generally located across the Aiken, South Carolina and surrounding Southeast | South Atlantic | CONUS Region, supporting a High-hazard nuclear cleanup environment requiring disciplined staffing, safety, quality, security, and regulatory compliance. The role is aligned with GSA Labor Category: Program Manager and is principally focused on ProSidian Strategic Resourcing and Professional Staff Augmentation for Engineering (Eng) Solutions and Services. We seek candidates with relevant Nuclear And Environmental Management Sector Experience to support professional services engagement for clients such as SRMC. This position is offered as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Engineering (Eng) Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline Professional role, however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. The Program Manager role(s) are located in the Southeast | South Atlantic | CONUS Region, at or near Aiken, South Carolina. The initially identified Work Site Address is (Working On-Site (Client Site) - (Geo Code Address: 121 Richland Ave E, Aiken, SC 29801, USA). The role provides services and support as a Project Engineering Manager A aligned with the Engineering (Eng) Functional Area / Swim Lane / Category Discipline in the Nuclear And Environmental Management Industry Sector. This role focuses on Human Capital | Project Management | Engineering | Environmental | Compliance | Risk Management | IT Effectiveness | Business Process | Training Knowledge Management Solutions for clients such as Savannah River Mission Completion, LLC (SRMC) | SRMC Supply Chain / Procurement supporting the Liquid Waste Program under DOE prime contract 89303322DEM000068. The work is generally located in Aiken, South Carolina and across the Southeast | South Atlantic | CONUS Region, requiring work On-Site (Client Site). The role provides Engineering (Eng) Services and Solutions as a ProSidian Engagement Team Member, supporting professional engineering activities through planning, analysis, coordination, documentation, compliance, quality assurance, and stakeholder support. It involves integrating Engineering, design, procurement, construction, operations, and Project controls to deliver complex modifications successfully.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 10+ years cumulative experience in Engineering with demonstrated experience in technical Project management.
  • Primarily focused on Management and Financial Consulting, Acquisition and Grants Management Support, and Business Program and Project Management Services initiatives and aligned with Program Support activities Engineering (Eng) Functional Area Activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides overall Engineering and/or design direction, leadership and management for assigned Project s and tasks.
  • Integrates and manages Engineering resources for assigned Project s, by assisting in establishing design criteria, staffing plans, schedules and Engineering tools for Engineering tasks.
  • Provides administrative direction to assigned leads and managers.
  • Responsible for overall management, scheduling, and priority of the tasks and Project s assigned.
  • Manages the administration, document control, Project control and quality Engineering sections for all assigned Project s through section supervisors.
  • Resolves conflicts between Project direction and technical direction from the functional managers.
  • Participates in department and site wide programmatic issues resolution and quality improvements.
  • Responsible for staffing, evaluating, and developing a reporting organization capable of achieving the objectives of the Project s assigned.
  • Manages activities of subcontractors to ensure output meets Project technical, cost and schedule objectives.
  • Establishes baselines deliverables and Engineering work requests.
  • Recommends to Project manager, subcontractor authorizations for new work and changes to baselines.
  • Evaluates Project cost and schedule variances and implement corrective actions.
  • May manages cost accounts for procurement of Engineered materials.
  • Establishes Project s scope of work including assuring that there is firm customer requirements developed.
  • Manages and facilitates Engineering and design of In-house and/or subcontractors for multiple Project s, tasks, and/or division managed modifications by coordination of Engineering, interfacing with Project managers, systems Engineering managers, construction managers, operations managers, Engineering managers, functions Engineering managers, division chief Engineer's organization, Project controls, procurement, and other service/support groups.
  • Applies beyond basic Engineering principles, concepts, and practices, to resolve site wide programmatic issues and establishing an organization capable of achieving all objectives of the division.
