About The Position

NV5 Meridian is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to join their Land Development Services design team. This role focuses on smart growth associated with Residential, Multi-Family, Commercial, Industrial, and Education site development and improvements. NV5 is a provider of engineering and consulting services to public and private sector clients, delivering solutions through various business verticals. The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of development-related projects across Idaho and the Pacific Northwest, including site development design for residential subdivisions, multi-family, commercial, industrial development sites, and educational facilities.

Requirements

  • BSCE required.
  • ID PE required, or must possess current PE with the ability to obtain ID PE within 6 months.
  • Licenses in other bordering states are a plus.
  • Must be local to the Treasure Valley area.
  • 3-5 years of experience with a background in residential land development, including a combination of roadway, earthworks, water, sewer, stormwater, and technical report writing.
  • Multi-disciplined civil experience is a plus (i.e., mixture of transportation, residential, commercial, and industrial development).
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience managing tasks, projects, and professional staff is required.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D (2018 or newer preferred), and MS software applications.
  • Must possess a proven history of meeting project deadlines and budgets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with clients, staff, and management.
  • Adaptability and ability to respond quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Candidate must possess a valid Idaho State Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to meet company insurability requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • 3D modeling experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated skills in developing relationships with clients is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, administer, and design small, medium, and large-scale Land Development projects including Residential, Commercial, and Industrial.
  • Perform Civil Engineering projects with an emphasis on site development, including the design of site grading, utilities, storm drainage facilities, roadways, and trails.
  • Manage design staff as lead engineer on project tasks.
  • Visit clients and project job sites as required.
  • Aid in proposal preparation, detailing scope of services and budgets.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships, ensuring client satisfaction and objectives are met.
  • Responsible for marketing, writing proposals, winning work, and developing key client relationships.
  • Participate in client-rich professional organizations and functions.
  • Train and mentor young professionals.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills.
