This role involves reviewing project plans, shop drawings, and submittals, ensuring constructability and value analysis, and communicating with architects regarding inconsistencies. The Project Engineer also recommends cost-saving methods, attends project meetings, prepares progress reports, and assists in updating project schedules. Additionally, they support bidding processes, develop scopes of work for trade contractors, and collaborate with superintendents on project scheduling and execution. Responsibilities extend to following up on approvals, maintaining logs for project documentation, advising on concrete pours, inspecting structural reinforcing, coordinating testing, and reviewing field procedures to ensure compliance and improve production efficiency. Adherence to all safety policies and procedures is mandatory.
