About The Position
Dome Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Thousand Oaks, CA. This full-time role involves bridging the gap between field and office operations, ensuring efficiency in complex commercial and industrial construction projects. The Project Engineer will collaborate with Project Managers and Superintendents, coordinate with various stakeholders, manage documentation, support scheduling and financial tracking, and promote safety compliance.
Requirements
- Detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn
- Comfortable analyzing blueprints in the office and walking job sites
- Ability to solve problems, stay ahead of schedules, and work with a team
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- 0–3 years of experience in construction or engineering roles
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar tools
- Experience (or strong interest) in commercial, industrial, or tenant improvement projects
- Pursuing or completed a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Coordinating with architects, engineers, trade partners, and clients
- Walking active job sites, identifying and solving issues before they become problems
- Managing key documentation like RFIs, submittments, and project logs
- Supporting schedules, logistics, and financial tracking
- Promoting safety and ensuring compliance with industry regulations
