The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring the timely resolution of client needs and issues, understanding project scopes of work, and managing contractual obligations between RDS and GC. This role involves procuring specialty and lead-time materials, submitting engineering/shop drawings, and participating in project handoff and kickoff meetings. The Project Engineer will collaborate with field supervision to ensure timely submission of Extra Work Authorizations (EWAs) and will be familiar with project plans and specifications to effectively support the field team and client. Responsibilities also include reviewing and approving change orders, preparing submittal packages, stocking reports, RFIs, purchase orders, and project analysis reports, as well as billing. The role involves logging the timeliness and accuracy of field paperwork, maintaining a culture of safety, participating in the Safety Program, and supporting the execution of the QA/QC plan. Additionally, the Project Engineer will assist with project analysis, projections, and billings, ensure lump sum Change Orders (CORs) are reviewed, priced, and submitted timely, and that all EWA tickets are processed into CORs and submitted to the client. This role is accountable for all project profitability, understanding key contractual obligations, monitoring risk areas, and ensuring purchase order accuracy.
