The successful delivery of hyperscale data centers and mission-critical infrastructure requires strong leadership, detailed planning, disciplined execution, and effective communication. From project startup through closeout, Assistant Construction Project Managers play a critical role in supporting project teams, coordinating field activities, managing project documentation, and helping ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with customer expectations. At Michels Infrastructure Solutions (MIS), we deliver some of North America's largest and most complex mission-critical and hyperscale infrastructure projects. As the general contracting and EPC delivery arm of Michels, MIS leverages the self-perform capabilities of the Michels Family of Companies to execute every phase of construction, from site development and utilities through power infrastructure, commissioning, and project closeout. Our teams support leading technology companies and developers by delivering the critical infrastructure required to power cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and digital connectivity. Known for tackling challenging scopes, aggressive schedules, and complex project environments, MIS combines the resources of a national EPC contractor with the accountability, agility, and hands-on leadership needed to successfully deliver world-class mission-critical facilities. As a Project Engineer, you will assist in managing large-scale hyperscale data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects or independently manage smaller project scopes under the guidance of a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager. You will support all phases of project execution, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, project controls, customer communication, quality management, and field coordination. This role serves as a key link between project management and field operations, helping ensure projects progress safely, efficiently, and in alignment with schedule, budget, and quality objectives. You will work closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders while developing the skills necessary to advance into senior project leadership roles. Success requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, communication abilities, and the capacity to make sound decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.
