About The Position

HIROTEC America is a global industry leader with worldwide sales exceeding 1.5 billion dollars and 32 facilities in 8 countries. The company is constantly changing and growing, believing there is always room for advancement. Currently, they are seeking a Project Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing project proposals or planning to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotting resources to various project phases. This role involves customer contact and technical expertise for overall project execution, including tool process, design buy-off, and build integration. The candidate will confer with project staff to outline work plans, assign duties, review status reports, and modify schedules as needed. They will also prepare project reports for management, clients, or others, and continuously strive to improve Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety (QDCS). Additionally, the role involves conferring with project personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems. The position requires the ability to travel for service and installation, both nationally and internationally. An excellent work environment and benefits are offered.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Knowledge of the automotive industry (closures/BIW- OEM preferred)
Computer skills-Microsoft Office Products
Technical aptitude with problem solving skills
Exceptional interpersonal/ communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Teamwork and leadership skills
Ability to travel for service and installation, both nationally and internationally

Responsibilities

Review project proposal or planning to determine time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of project.
Have customer contact and technical expertise for overall project execution, including but not limited to tool process, design buy-off, and build integration of the project.
Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority.
Review status reports prepared by project personnel and modify schedules or plans as required.
Prepare project reports for management, client, or others.
Continually strive to improve Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety (QDCS).
Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
