About The Position

Rummel Construction, Inc. is a Heavy Civil General Contractor specializing in mass excavation and grading. We are 100% employee-owned and have been providing earth-moving services to the Southwest, United States since 1996. We diversify in a broad range of markets including mining, landfills, golf courses, residential, CMAR/JOC, wind and energy, recreation, flood control, and transportation. As a Project Engineer, assigned to one or more projects, you will be responsible for monitoring production quantities, reviewing budgets and schedules, ordering materials, setting up subcontractors, attending customer meetings, supporting the field superintendent, and relaying crucial information back to the office. You will find yourself in the field most days, watching the work unfold.

Requirements

• College degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong personal organizational skills
• Able to manage time appropriately and assign priority to your work duties
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a PE in Heavy Civil Construction
• Safe operation of a company vehicle and a clean driving record

• Writing Purchase Agreements and Purchase Orders
• Track material quantities
• Source and order materials
• Communicate with owners and inspectors
• Collaborate with Rummel Project Managers and Administrative Staff
