Because we have strong reason to believe the position will be approved soon, we are proceeding with identifying qualified candidates and conducting interviews. The Project Engineer for the UPRITE project will generate assembly and test procedures, assemble and test hardware, troubleshoot hardware and rework/reassemble as necessary, design, assemble, and evaluate test fixtures as necessary, coordinate with test facilities and generate documentation for external tests (i.e. EMI, Acoustic, AC Inverter, Vibration, Thermal Cycle), assist Project Manager/Systems Engineer to coordinate with matrix organizations for analyses and verifications, generate verification documentation and review design memos, test reports, etc., work with NASA Engineering to manage the assessment of certification products, coordinate flight logistics as flight articles are prepared for launch, generate essential paperwork and documents for tasks assigned, such as Task Performance Sheets (TPS), Discrepancy Reports (DR), and Detailed Test Procedures (DTP), as needed, maintain and ensure baseline test configuration and document any configuration changes, facilitate across various stakeholders to achieve integration of program objectives, maintain a professional relationship with the NASA customer and other NASA support contractors, and perform other duties as required to support the UPRITE project.
