About The Position

Construction Support Solutions (CSS) delivers professional construction management and inspection services to federal, state, and private clients across the U.S. We specialize in providing high-quality, on-site construction oversight for mission-critical projects—ensuring work meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and performance. Our team supports agencies such as the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), NASA, National Park Service (NPS), and the General Services Administration (GSA). We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our construction management services team. The Project Engineer will support Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This position is ideal for early-career professionals looking to build a successful career in construction management and project delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years previous construction experience (Internship or Co-op considered)
  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 and/or other Construction management platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination activities.
  • Track and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, change orders, and project correspondence.
  • Maintain project documentation, logs, and contract records.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support field operations by coordinating with on-site project managers and construction teams.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Assist with quality control inspections and project closeout activities.
  • Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and monthly project status reports.
  • Monitor project schedules and help identify potential delays or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards.
