About The Position

First Quality Home Care Products, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer for their Salt Lake City, UT location. This position will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects that improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and facility operations. The role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field), or equivalent combination of technical education and experience
  • 3–7+ years of experience in manufacturing, chemical/process, or industrial engineering environment
  • Experience managing capital projects and budgets
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and continuous improvement tools
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing/growing processes
  • Ability to support in responsibilities outside the defined role/title
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in project management software and CAD systems
  • Experience with automation, process optimization, or equipment validation
  • Familiarity with GMP or regulated manufacturing environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing capital and continuous improvement projects from concept through implementation
  • Develop project scopes, timelines, budgets, and resource plans
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Safety, Supply Chain, and leadership to align projects with business goals
  • Oversee equipment installation, upgrades, and commissioning
  • Manage contractors, engineering firms, and equipment vendors
  • Analyze production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance
  • Manage contractors, vendors, and external partners
  • Oversee equipment specification, procurement, installation, and commissioning
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
  • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations
