About The Position

This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. As a Manufacturing Ops Engineering – Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by: Managing project timelines and budgets for assigned projects. Successfully interacting with multiple discipline teams including 3M plant personnel, consultants and suppliers. Specifying equipment performance and design criteria. Estimating capital equipment and installation costs. Defining and executing competitive bidding strategy. Overseeing plant equipment layout and design. Coordinate construction activity. Leading equipment commissioning. Protecting 3M intellectual property. Communicating effectively to project team, facility staff and project owners. Gaining understanding of applicable codes and guidelines to insure designs meet standards. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Possess or in the final year of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in an engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Nice To Haves

  • Possess or in the final year of pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mining Engineering from an accredited program
  • 1-3 Years Experience in project management
  • Experience in quarry mining and/or heavy industrial operations
