About The Position

The project engineer is responsible for overseeing the design and production of HVAC&R equipment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical Engineering or similar (four years college or university) or equivalent experience.
  • 0-5 years related experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods used in HVAC&R.
  • Advanced knowledge and familiarity with HVAC&R equipment and systems.
  • Ability to use Microsoft productivity software.
  • Talented, highly motivated individual with good engineering judgment.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to guide and influence others.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
  • Basic math skills are required and the employee must also have the ability to recognize basic angle measures (45°, 90°, 180°, 270°, 360°).
  • Answers to Director of Applied Products.
  • Must be able to accurately receive and understand instructions from supervisor to determine if further instruction is required before attempting to complete the task assigned.
  • In constant communication with other departments (Sales, production, etc.).
  • It is essential that the employee is able to work with all employees of the RAE team and shows a spirit of cooperation with others in the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Ensure proper documentation of technical data is generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.
  • Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and / or tasks.
  • Assist designers in developing the structural design of products using drafting tools or computer-assisted design (CAD) or drafting equipment and software.
  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.
  • Provide feedback on customer problems and needs.
  • Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering, construction, or extraction projects, and prepare contract documents.
  • Attend work as outlined in Employee Handbook and/or specified by your supervisor.
  • Complete other tasks as directed by supervisor.
  • Comply with government regulations, laws, company policies, and company procedures.
