About The Position

Performance Contracting Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its Washington, DC operations, based in Ashburn, Virginia. The role may require travel or relocation to support specific project needs and is safety-sensitive. The Project Engineer supports construction projects through labor control, documentation, quantity takeoffs, scheduling, coordination, quality control, and closeout activities. The position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience supporting or managing construction projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products, such as Excel and Word.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to learn new skills by engaging in technical job functions and applying newly learned skills.
• Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience managing specialty scopes of construction.
• OSHA certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance.
• Prepare requests for information (RFIs) and submittals.
• Perform quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders.
• Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen.
• Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation.
• Support the quality control measures outlined in the QA/QC program.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
