About The Position

The Project Engineer – Co-op provides engineering support within a plant manufacturing environment for one or two terms. USG’s broad-based engineering work exposes engineers to multidisciplinary projects at various stages. This hands-on opportunity gives entry-level engineers visibility and responsibility, with real assignments that affect the facility and provide a broad view of manufacturing. Co-op opportunities are available at multiple manufacturing locations across the United States.

Requirements

• Must have completed at least the first term of sophomore year in school.
• Must be pursuing an engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, Industrial, or Engineering Management.
• Minimum GPA of 2.75.
• Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and implementing capital projects to improve employee safety, production efficiencies, or product quality.
• Provide engineering support in a plant manufacturing environment.
