About The Position

Skyline Windows is a fourth-generation family owned and operated business, best known for designing, manufacturing, and installing custom windows, window wall systems, and terrace doors. All our products are made to order based on our clients’ project specifications. From landmarks to new construction, high end residential to high volume commercial, we do it all! The Project Engineer is responsible for producing shop drawings, performing field measurements, and supporting project execution. This role requires the ability to interpret architectural drawings, develop accurate details, and take ownership of assigned tasks to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.

Requirements

  • Strong AutoCAD proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
  • Strong Excel skills (data tracking, spreadsheets)
  • Understanding of window systems and detailing
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good time management skills
  • AutoCAD experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Relevant experience in façade/window industry preferred
  • Metal Panel /Slab Cover experience a plus
  • Curtain Wall experience a plus
  • 3D Drawing ability a plus
  • Architectural façade experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create shop drawings from architectural plans
  • Interpret and manipulate window details in CAD
  • Perform field measurements and convert them to accurate drawings
  • Produce material takeoffs and assist with ordering
  • Maintain project schedules and meet deadlines
  • Maintain organized documentation
  • Take ownership of assigned scopes and deliverables from start to completion
  • Coordinate internally with Engineering and Project Management teams (Project Scope, RFi, Submittals, etc…)
