About The Position

KCI is seeking a Project Engineer for an initial assignment to the Union Station Tunnel Rehabilitation Project. This project involves dedicated night-shift work for approximately one year, with a schedule of 6:00 p.m. – 4:30 a.m. Following this project, the role will transition to other KCI projects based on business and project needs. A night-shift premium will be provided during the initial assignment. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience on a high-profile rehabilitation project and build a long-term career with KCI.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
1–3 years of construction experience preferred
Entry-level candidates with relevant construction internship experience are encouraged to apply
Exposure to heavy civil or infrastructure projects is a plus
Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills
Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

Procore, HCSS, and Vista experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Coordinate and track submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs to keep the project moving forward
Maintain project logs and ensure timely follow-up and resolution
Track production for self-performed work and support the team in meeting productivity goals
Measure and verify in-place quantities for unit price work
Assist with project reporting, meeting coordination, and documentation
Support schedule updates and participate in weekly progress meetings
Maintain accurate as-built drawings and assist with project closeout documentation, including O&M manuals
Collaborate with estimating and project teams as needed
Take on additional responsibilities that support successful project delivery
