About The Position
CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Water Team in Blacksburg, VA or Richmond, VA. In this role, you will support the design and delivery of critical water infrastructure projects that help communities thrive. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
- Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
Nice To Haves
- No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
- Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for water/wastewater infrastructure projects
- Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates
- Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for water/wastewater systems
- Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and improvement of water/wastewater infrastructure systems
