The Project Engineer serves as the technical engine for the Project Manager, operating in both office and field environments. This role is responsible for managing project documentation, data, and the accurate record of construction. Key duties include handling submittals, RFIs, drawings, field layout and grade control, tracking installed quantities, performing in-progress quality verification, cost coding, supporting procurement, and assembling the final turnover package. The Project Engineer generates critical information for the Project Manager's decision-making and provides the evidence for company payments, without making commercial decisions or directing crews.
