About The Position

RVE, an Ardurra company, is seeking a Project Engineer to join its municipal team in Secaucus, New Jersey. The role provides engineering services across all phases of assigned projects under the supervision of a Project Manager. The team delivers consulting services for infrastructure capital improvements, environmental remediation, utilities, treatment design, public facilities, parks and recreation, redevelopment, and master planning, and also pursues grant funding for municipal projects.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university; Civil Engineering is preferred.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to solve problems.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proven ability to multitask, prioritize workflow, and complete tasks on schedule and within budget.
Excellent time-management skills.
Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification required.

Nice To Haves

Working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Contribute to and oversee civil and site design for projects such as parks, municipal infrastructure, athletic facilities, schools, higher education campuses, and industrial or commercial developments.
Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for municipal stormwater management, roadway improvements, and drainage system upgrades.
Coordinate utilities and support preparation of construction documents for water and wastewater infrastructure.
Complete assigned municipal project tasks to support delivery within established scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
Work independently and as part of a municipal project team, applying sound judgment and technical expertise with limited supervision.
