About The Position

ATS Companies is seeking a Project Engineer to design and engineer control system hardware and software programming based on project plans, specifications, and other contract documents. This role involves analyzing building control and mechanical system performance at both a complete systems and campus level, ensuring documentation accuracy, and potentially managing projects and interfacing directly with customers. The position also includes managing subcontractors and suppliers, with increasing financial responsibility as tenure grows. Requirements

  • Engineering undergraduate degree
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Computer programming experience
  • Building Mechanical system experience
  • Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits
  • Programming skills
  • Proven analytical skills
  • Exceptional interactive and communication skills
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of DDC (direct digital control) Theory and Applications
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised
  • ACAD skills

Responsibilities

  • Complete control system overall design responsibility
  • Control programming and graphic development
  • Manage the start-up and commissioning of Building Automation Systems
  • Engineer field changes and maintain as-built documentation
  • Conduct on-site owner training as part of project closeout
  • Execute project management tasks including job planning, labor planning, scheduling, fiscal analysis, etc.
  • Material ordering and coordination
  • Manage time to complete assignments on time and within budget
