About The Position

STV is seeking a Project Engineer to work for the PM/CM division in its New York City office. The ideal candidate will be skilled in the use of technology for daily tasks and possess strong communication abilities to coordinate with a large team, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time experience in project management, design, construction, operations, administration, architectural electrical or mechanical plumbing, or a related field.
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Self-starter attitude with a proactive, results-oriented focus.
  • Willing and capable to assume additional responsibilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with a variety of people with different technical levels and educational backgrounds.
  • Ability to produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a positive customer-service attitude.
  • Microsoft Office Suite of software required.
  • Expertise in Excel required.
  • Experience with Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat required.
  • Demonstrated experience with routine Document Control hardware and software, such as scanners.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with large-scale Document Control Software is preferred.
  • Procore experience is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience in a construction environment is highly desirable, with an understanding of the construction process and coordination of various entities in the industry.
  • Previous experience managing a Document Control effort for a large-scale construction project preferred.
  • Experience with public agencies contract administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Control, scan, index, link, electronically file, and distribute documents in Procore or other Project Management Tools.
  • Distribute correspondence, technical submittals, project reports, Requests for Information, and contract plans and specifications internally and externally to project participants.
  • Prepare transmittals, distribute documents, and retrieve documents.
  • Assist Project Managers and the Project Team with all matters related to project documents, including control and distribution.
  • Process project documents and maintain document control files in accordance with project document control procedures.
  • Provide electronic and hard copy distribution and filing support for document control.
  • Establish and maintain files, including receiving, indexing, and scanning documents such as correspondence, field memos, submittals, pay requests, drawing logs, safety notices, RFIs, and photos.
