The Project Engineer assists Project Managers to ensure that work installed on the project meets plan and specification requirements. This role involves ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, and performing value analysis and constructability reviews. The Project Engineer also recommends cost-saving methods, attends and documents project meetings, prepares progress reports, and updates project schedules. Additionally, this role assists in bidding, developing scopes of work, and coordinating with superintendents and trade contractors. Maintaining project logs, advising on concrete pours, coordinating testing, and reviewing field procedures are also key responsibilities. The role requires strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
