About The Position

Legacy Professional Services is seeking a Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of hyperscale data center construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and project closeout. Working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, owners, subcontractors, and client representatives, you'll help coordinate field operations, project documentation, scheduling, procurement, quality initiatives, and construction activities to keep complex projects moving safely and efficiently. As projects progress, you'll support multiple disciplines—including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and connectivity—to help ensure successful project execution and turnover. This position is ideal for an organized, technically minded construction professional who enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, solving problems, and building a career managing large-scale construction projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Three or more years of experience supporting commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or mission-critical construction projects.
  • Understanding of construction documents, scheduling, project controls, and field operations.
  • Experience coordinating RFIs, submittals, procurement activities, and project documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, or Microsoft Project.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting hyperscale data center, mission-critical, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, or other large commercial construction projects.
  • Experience supporting multiple construction disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with commissioning, quality control, and project turnover processes.
  • Experience working with large general contractors or EPC organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination and field operations.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and contract documents for accuracy and constructability.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to support schedule, quality, and project milestones.
  • Assist with project scheduling, look-ahead planning, procurement tracking, and material coordination.
  • Support quality control inspections, commissioning activities, and project documentation throughout construction.
  • Prepare and maintain RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, change documentation, and project records.
  • Track project progress, manpower, equipment deliveries, and field activities.
  • Assist with cost tracking, document control, and project reporting using Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office.
  • Coordinate project closeout activities, punch lists, turnover documentation, and owner handover.
  • Support multiple construction disciplines, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and connectivity systems, as projects progress.
