Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
  • Requirements Analysis, Design Skills, Project Management, Knowledge of Manufacturing Methods and Materials, Process Improvement, Technical Understanding, Documentation Skills, Risk Management, CAD/CAM.
  • Must have excellent computer skills with Word, Excel, Outlook, SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering and design of new concepts and products.
  • Determines engineering requirements by conducting inspections and analytical tests; determining root causes; preparing bid specifications.
  • Produces technical documentation and engineering reports.
  • Prototyping and primary process development.
  • Engineering and technical document changes.
  • Verifies engineering applications by conducting tests and inspections; building and analyzing models and simulations; conducting laboratory experiments and measurements.
  • Meets cost standard by preparing cost-benefit analyses; tracking and reporting expenses.
  • Prepares guidelines by describing operational and testing methods and procedures.
  • Maintains and improves quality results by completing quality assurance tests; following standards; studying, evaluating and re-designing processes; implementing changes.
  • Operation, maintenance and calibration of analytical equipment; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging engineering practices; participating in educational opportunities and professional organizations; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
  • Complies with ISO 13485 and FDA QSR.
