About The Position

Project Engineer, North America Energy Drive Systems is a global leader in industrial energy efficiency, delivering Intelligent Motor Control and Energy Efficiency-as-a-Service (EEaaS) solutions to heavy industry. As we continue expanding across North Ameirca, we're looking for an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of technically complex projects throughout the region. This is a senior, field-based role for an engineer who enjoys taking ownership—from technical design reviews through commissioning, optimisation and final client handover.

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience delivering heavy industrial engineering projects
  • A background in Electrical Engineering, Automation or Mechatronics
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV electrical systems and Variable Frequency Drives
  • Experience with industrial automation platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider or ABB
  • Commissioning and troubleshooting experience within live industrial environments
  • Professional fluency in English
  • Willingness to travel across North America (mainly mid-west)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within steel, mining, manufacturing, utilities, process industries or other heavy industrial environments would be highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery of projects involving Medium & Low Voltage electrical systems
  • Lead the technical delivery of projects involving Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
  • Lead the technical delivery of projects involving Industrial automation and PLC/SCADA systems
  • Lead the technical delivery of projects involving Energy optimisation and industrial process improvements
  • Lead the technical delivery of projects involving Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT)
  • Lead the technical delivery of projects involving Commissioning, troubleshooting and client handover
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest engineering standards, working alongside multidisciplinary teams.
