About The Position

Engelberth Construction is seeking Project Engineers to support commercial construction projects throughout Vermont and New Hampshire. The role is suited to candidates looking to begin a career in project management. Project Engineers support project teams from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring technical documentation, coordination, and project controls are handled accurately and efficiently. The position offers exposure to healthcare, industrial, and commercial projects, mentorship from experienced Project Managers and Superintendents, and a career path toward Project Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree completed or in progress in Construction Management, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Structural), Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Internship or co-op experience in construction.

Responsibilities

• Manage and track submittals, RFIs, ASIs, and change orders.
• Assist with cost control and change management processes.
• Review drawings and specifications for coordination and constructability.
• Support schedule updates and procurement tracking.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, and engineers.
• Maintain document control in digital project management systems.
• Assist with project closeout documentation, including O&M manuals, as-builts, and warranties.
