About The Position

Bedrock Landscaping is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to support our landscape construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to help ensure projects stay organized, on schedule, and within budget. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accurate project documentation.

Requirements

Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, specifications, and scopes of work.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and general construction/project-management technology.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively with both office and field personnel.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local project sites as needed.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in construction, landscaping, civil construction, project coordination, or a related field preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Business, or a related field preferred but not required based on experience.
Experience with estimating, takeoff, PDF markup, or construction management software is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Managers with the planning, coordination, and execution of landscape construction projects.
Review project plans, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.
Assist with project takeoffs, quantities, material requirements, and cost tracking.
Prepare and track RFIs, submittmits, change orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors regarding pricing, materials, deliveries, and scheduling.
Maintain current project plans, specifications, schedules, and other project records.
Assist with procurement and ensure materials and equipment are ordered in accordance with project schedules.
Track project costs, commitments, quantities, and changes to help maintain project budgets.
Communicate project updates and outstanding items to Project Managers and field leadership.
Assist with scheduling and coordination between office and field operations.
Attend project meetings and document action items, changes, and follow-up requirements.
Review field conditions and assist in resolving discrepancies between plans and actual site conditions.
Assist with estimating and pricing for project changes and additional work.
Help ensure work is completed according to project plans, specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations.
Assist with project closeout documentation, punch lists, warranties, and turnover packages.
Maintain professional communication with customers, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Support multiple projects simultaneously and meet required deadlines.
