The Project Engineer will coordinate with the Assistant Project Manager and Project Manager on documentation for permanent project records. This role involves managing field document control and filing for subcontractors, including Submittal Packages, Shop Drawings, Safety Manuals, SDS files, and Change Order Coordination. The Project Engineer will also handle Construction Document control and filing, including RFIs, SIs, and SK documents, as well as inspection reporting and follow-up for various construction-related reports. Additionally, the role includes collecting and maintaining weekly site reports, coordinating compliance letters, assisting with project start-up duties, and being responsible for permit procurement and maintaining the purchase order procedure. The Project Engineer will also gather and log pertinent submittals, follow up on their timely receipt and delivery, and communicate with consultants and subcontractors to ensure all information is exchanged effectively. The position requires the ability to understand complex instructions, make recommendations for office performance, and perform any other assigned tasks.
