About The Position

We are hiring a Project Engineer to support commercial electrical construction projects within a self-perform contractor environment focused on healthcare and institutional work. This is a hands-on support role working directly with Project Managers to help drive execution, coordination, and documentation across active job sites. It’s designed for someone with commercial electrical experience who wants to grow into full project ownership over time. You’ll play a key role in keeping projects organized, on schedule, and aligned with field operations.

Requirements

2–5+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction (Project Engineer, APM, or similar)
Background with a commercial electrical contractor or electrical scopes required
Experience supporting project coordination (RFIs, submittals, schedules, field communication)
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and construction documents
Hands-on involvement in project execution and coordination required
Must have commercial electrical experience (residential-only or GC-only backgrounds will not be considered)

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with Bluebeam, AcuBid, or similar tools preferred
Strong interest in growing into a Project Manager role

Responsibilities

Support Project Managers across the full project lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout
Assist with RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
Coordinate with field teams, electricians, and foremen to align plans with execution
Interface with general contractors, inspectors, and vendors to support project progress
Review and interpret electrical drawings and specifications for coordination and scope
Assist with takeoffs, scope reviews, and project setup alongside estimating teams
Work with BIM teams to resolve design conflicts and support field-ready plans
Track project schedules, materials, and procurement to support timely delivery
Maintain accurate records within project management and ERP systems
