About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Project Engineer in Virginia Beach, VA. This position shall provide acquisition engineering production support (material and labor) to support the assembly of cables and sub-assemblies to support the remediation of equipment failures, completion of incomplete assemblies and/or replacement equipment.

Requirements

Must have 5 plus years of experience with SSDS, Navy, and/or shipboard systems and a BS degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
Must have experience working with Microsoft Office Suite (I.e., Project and Excel).
Must have experience working with SSDS or shipboard systems.
Work experience with AutoCAD and/or Inventor Software.

Responsibilities

Provide acquisition recommendations based on independent analyses.
Perform drawing development tasks and technical reviews.
Perform configuration management (CM) duties for various Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
Perform quality checks on governments TDPs and drawings.
Update drawings per government’ redlines to be ready for final release.
Aid with assembling hardware kits required to implement approved Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) into SSDS hardware enclosures and subassemblies.
Oversee SSDS production work and monitor progression.
Perform Material Management duties on all incoming and outgoing materials.
Perform equipment and systems functional testing in a lab environment.
