At Conair, we inspire our customers with innovative quality products and brands that enhance their lives. We are seeking a full-time Project Engineer at our Stamford, CT location. This position works directly with the entire Engineering team and collaboratively with other departments, providing leadership and support of new product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with the design, testing and troubleshooting of new products with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • High computer software competency with 3D modeling experience in Pro-E and/or Solid Works.
  • Minimum 5 years in consumer products or commercial appliances.
  • 5 to 10 years in consumer goods industry

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Asian suppliers desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development of new products as assigned from concept through prototype, tooling, engineering builds, pilot runs and into mass production.
  • Assure new products meet all approval agency requirements.
  • Travel to Asian suppliers approx. 5% of time and other venues 5% in support of the product development process.
  • Oversee testing and address any issues that arise throughout the product life cycle.
  • Perform supervisory responsibilities of team members in accordance with the company policies, improving the effectiveness of the Engineering team.
  • Utilize the document management system for revising, controlling, and sharing engineering documentation.
