Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years related experience in wellhead product design and development and/or services.
  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university or technical institute.
  • Stream-Flo or competitor product knowledge and applications are an asset.
  • Membership with APEGA/ASET or eligible to get membership: Eng, P.L. (Eng.), C.E.T., or P.Tech.
  • Proficient with 3D modeling and drafting using Creo / Solidworks / AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of all API 6A product requirements.
  • Knowledge of stress analysis.
  • Knowledge of the development and control of design documentation.
  • Proficient in technical writing.
  • Ability to maintain a high attention to detail while working on several tasks.
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Highly self-motivated, well organized and desire to gain experience / expand knowledge.
  • A mechanical aptitude and methodical approach to problem solving

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Project Engineering Team providing technical and design support to determine the best solutions to specific customer needs.
  • Provide support on new product line design and development.
  • Execute on all customer orders.
  • Prepare product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, industry standards, customer requirements and related specifications.
  • Prepare necessary calculations required on new and existing products.
  • Provide engineering production support to machining, welding, assembly and other departments.
  • Provide technical support for field service, customers, sales and manufacturing.
  • In coordination with the quality department, troubleshoot quality issues as it pertains to material rejects, material review, warrantee issues and custom engineering requirements (NCIR’s).
  • Develop, write and implement production procedures as it pertains to the support of engineering functions (i.e. machining, test, assembly, etc.).
  • Develop and deliver presentations required for customer design reviews / meetings.
  • Review customer RFP and RFQ documents for technical requirements and develop the project outline.
  • Assess, evaluate, and incorporate technical requirements for the project, including input from external agencies sales and end users to determine their specific design requirements and determine the best solution for the application utilizing standard SFI product lines.
  • Review custom product design solutions for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, industry standards, customer requirements and related specifications.
