About The Position

This position is for an experienced Project Engineer who will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of digital systems integration between LALNG and the broader Woodside business. Key scopes will include delivery of a major OT security platform, development of the asset AI strategy and facilitating the assess/select of key applications designed to support day to day asset operations. The role will develop and represent the project requirement while working closely with the Digital function (and others) to deliver.

Requirements

  • 10 years industry experience with owner/operator exposure in the Oil & gas industry
  • Strong general knowledge across the entire digital technology stack
  • Experienced delivering projects to an operational asset including operational readiness activities
  • Experience with engineering and process safety risk management practices (JRA, JHA, HAZOP, LOPA, Risk Bowties, Performance Standards etc.)
  • Strong communication, organizational skills with good stakeholder management skills
  • Strong solution design, documentation and technical writing skills is essential
  • Direct experience with systems integration including OT and industrial control systems is essential
  • Intermediate knowledge of cybersecurity standards and best practices as well as OT specific implementations is essential
  • Demonstrated experience with AI tools and development for operational use cases
  • Experience with large complex business datasets and creating business facing visualizations
  • Bachelor’s or Masters qualification in Engineering from an Industry recognized institution (or equivalent industry experience)

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the OT security platform integration for LALNG in line with the Woodside project Lifecyle (assess, select, define, design, execute, transition to operations). Including development of key artifacts: Project Charter / Project Brief, Scope of Work (SoW), Basis of Design (BoD), Project Execution Plan (PEP), Integrated Project Schedule, Cost Estimate & Control Basis, Risk Register (project & execution risks).
  • Manage scope, risk, budget, and schedule to deliver in line with project needs.
  • Work in conjunction with the Digital Function to develop the asset AI strategy and implementation plan.
  • Lead the development of asset requirements and use cases for all key Digital systems/software that directly support asset operations (e.g. permit to work systems, process modelling software, data management, process visualisation, historians, Advanced process control, surveillance etc.).
  • Provide technical assurance for both vendor managed and Woodside internally delivered scopes.
  • Ensure all systems are delivered in line with Woodside standards for engineering, cybersecurity, IT etc.
  • Ensure systems are built and integrated in the right way to ensure successful handover to operations.
  • Attend regular online meetings across multiple time zones.
  • Provide input to weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to project leadership.
  • Manage project change through the Management of Change (MoC) process.
  • Prepare and present project information and status to leadership, especially for key decision gates.
  • Closely manage relationship with main EPC contractor to facilitate a successful delivery of scope.
  • Collaborate with discipline engineers and operations teams within the project.
  • Work side-by-side the LALNG Project OT Engineer to delivery the OT security platform integration scope.
  • Support the project team to effectively engage and collaborate with the Digital Function.
