About The Position

This position will support an established Missile Defense program as an experienced Project Engineer. As part of this highly-skilled team, you will be responsible for making strategic decisions and working with leadership, cost account managers and engineers to deliver results. Demonstrated experience with concept development, planning, and program execution for missile applications is highly desired. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and oral, are essential.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting missile or spacecraft efforts as a Project Engineer, Program Manager or similar role.
  • Experience leading missile development efforts through a program lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, and stakeholders, as well as program executives, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain Final Secret clearance.
  • Final Secret clearance is required prior to start.
  • Selected candidates will be required to maintain a minimum level, government issued Secret clearance for long term employment on this program.

Nice To Haves

  • THAAD Weapon System and Customer familiarity
  • GNC, Software or Systems Engineering background or significant experience working with these functions
  • Proposals and development of basis of estimates (BOEs)
  • Experience in Cost Account Management and Earned Value Management

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead projects to deliver high-value result to the customer.
  • Work with the Control Account Manager and Planning team to track IMS burndown for organizational efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including GNC engineering, lab operations, hardware engineers, and leadership to ensure that projects are properly planned and executed.
  • Work alongside functional and program management to develop and maintain program execution plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with other integrated product teams to ensure that projects are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
