About The Position

The Project Engineer / Project Coordinator supports the execution and coordination of engineering activities within the project, ensuring that deliverables, interfaces, and technical information flow effectively between project disciplines and functions. The role contributes to the daily coordination of the project and engineering, under the supervision of the Project Manager and in close collaboration with the Engineering, Procurement, and Project Controls Lead. Scope: Supports the coordination and tracking of engineering activities, including: Deliverables tracking, Interface coordination, Document control, Engineering support to procurement and construction.

Requirements

  • 3 to 8 years (Project Engineer) / 1 to 5 years (Project Coordinator) of experience in engineering or project environment.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary engineering projects (industrial, infrastructure, or energy preferred).
  • Basic understanding of engineering project processes.
  • Familiarity with project documentation and deliverable tracking.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and matrix environment.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to track multiple deliverables.
  • Good communication and follow-up skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating engineering activities between disciplines.
  • Track deliverables to ensure alignment with the project schedule.
  • Monitor progress and report delays or missing inputs.
  • Support the resolution of daily coordination issues.
  • Maintain and update engineering deliverable logs.
  • Monitor the status of drawings, specifications, datasheets, and equipment lists.
  • Ensure timely distribution, review, and issuance of deliverables.
  • Track comments and ensure their closure.
  • Support coordination between engineering disciplines, engineering and procurement, and engineering and construction.
  • Track interface requirements and ensure required inputs are available.
  • Report interface deviations or inconsistencies.
  • Assist in preparing and compiling technical packages (RFIs/RFPs).
  • Track technical documentation required for procurement.
  • Monitor vendor submittals and their revision status.
  • Support coordination of technical clarifications through procurement.
  • Assist in coordinating engineering responses to site queries.
  • Track Requests for Information (RFIs) and ensure timely responses.
  • Support alignment of engineering deliverables with construction needs.
  • Prepare inputs for weekly coordination meetings and engineering progress updates.
  • Maintain logs of action items, deliverable status, and outstanding issues.
  • Identify and communicate execution issues and potential risks related to engineering deliverables or interfaces.
  • Support updates to risk and issue logs under the supervision of the Project Manager / Risk Manager.
  • Ensure engineering documentation is managed in accordance with project procedures.
  • Support document control processes and traceability.
  • Assist in coordinating interdisciplinary reviews.
